To act as an area specific expert for GBFB and offer a high-level of support to member agencies and community partners in an assigned region by conducting site visits, attending community meetings, offering best practices and identifying community barriers to service. Responsibilities:



  • Ensure that member agencies have adequate access to the food needed to serve their community and support these agencies in finding ways to serve more food insecure individuals.
  • Conduct growth planning sessions and participate in partners' strategic planning efforts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with area partners and community stakeholders and participate in community wide food security planning in support of GBFB's mission to End Hunger Here.
  • Maintain GBFB presence at community meetings by sharing pertinent GBFB updates and resources, gaining an understanding of the agencies' needs and concerns and bringing that information back to GBFB team, and represent GBFB interests in community planning processes that are relevant to GBFB's mission/fostering a relationship with the community.
  • Identify community barriers to food access, recommend solutions to both partners and GBFB.
  • Conduct regular compliance visits with partners in assigned region, document within Salesforce, and create correction plans escalating compliance and food safety concerns to supervisor as necessary.
  • Support the team creation of best practice resources and the sharing of those resources within assigned region.
  • Respond to regional needs as they relate to enabling, delivery, grant investments, best practices, etc. and provide excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with other GBFB Teams if a member agency requires assistance outside of sphere of expertise
  • Collaborate with the Development Team for any geography appropriate grant applications and reporting .
  • Collaborate with Programs and Agency Relations Teams during the planning and on-site operation of any direct distribution or cross dock in your assigned region.
  • Evaluate agencies who are interested in GBFB membership.
  • Support Capacity Team with administrative duties related to the Capacity Grant program, holiday distributions, and outreach opportunities
  • Maintain Food Safety Certification.
  • Ensure American Institute of Baking (AIB) standards are maintained
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management, including cross training in other Community Impact roles

Qualifications:



  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • At least 3 years in customer service; experience in community organizing and network development a plus
  • Foodservice, Food Safety, or other directly related work experience is a plus
  • Ability to work positively and professionally with people of diverse experiences and backgrounds
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle required

Work Environment/Physical Demands:



  • Lift or carry up to 2Slbs
  • Ability to sit up to 3 hours at a time
  • Ability to work within an open air/cubicle environment
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Willingness to periodically attend events or meetings during weekend/ evening hours
