Job Title: Manager, Pre-Sales Solutions Consulting - Healthcare and Life Sciences


Location: California


Role Description: We are seeking a Solution Engineering Manager to lead our Small Business (Emerging) Healthcare SE team. The SE Manager will be responsible for developing and retaining top-talent in this fast growing SE team. In addition, the SE Manager will work closely with their aligned Area VP, and Regional Sales Managers to understand their account mix and sales opportunities, partnering to drive strategy and execution. The role will be based out of one of our major hubs. Travel will be up to 30+% in supporting your employees and client engagements.


Your Impact:


The Solution Engineering Manager will hire and allocate resources, perform employee reviews and evaluations, participate in strategic deals, and back up team members as needed to grow the business. The SE Manager may be a player-coach, actively working with their team members to solve difficult problems, and coordinating corporate/external resources when required.


Required Skills:



  • Prior Pre-Sales Solution Engineering experience in a client-facing role.
  • Must be able to support the Solution Engineering team by providing guidance on sales strategies, approaches to solve specific problems, as well as represent their team's needs to Salesforce's executive staff.
  • Able to communicate equally with internal resources such as Product Management, Enablement, and Sales Management to gain commitment and support. Must have good fundamental Sales Skills.
  • Possesses good analytical capabilities, be organized and able to work many tasks at the same time.
  • Proficient with CRM technologies (or other Enterprise business applications) and be able to present to a business or technical audience.
  • Knowledge of advanced technologies. Java, Web Services and Systems Architecture skills are a nice to have.
  • Bachelor's Degree
