Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages Variety Care's staff health tracking and quarantine communication throughout the response to COVID 19. Includes discussion with staff members, coordination with supervisors at all levels and assisting in any health tracking related issues as needed.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to, the following:

Maintain Variety Care's Employee Health Tracker System with respect to COVID. Includes: Learning and advising staff on process for quarantine; Accepting reports from supervisors and following up with staff who are symptomatic or report exposure; Screening staff members to determine if they require quarantine or onsite precautions. Follow up with staff currently in quarantine, assisting them in understanding quarantine requirements and scheduling when necessary; Following procedure to assign return to work dates for staff; Overseeing staff requirements for On-Site Precautions including daily temperature checks and providing instructions with follow up as needed; Communicating with the Manager of Employee Health and Director of Clinical Quality as needed on issues regarding employee tracking; Entering telephone encounters and contact information in the EMR for staff in need of telehealth visits and testing. Providing reporting and data updates to leadership when requested. Coordinating with Human Resources as needed when a breach of protocol has occurred. Serves as a liaison to supervisors and staff on the rules of quarantine, exposure and precautions. Performs related work as required and assigned. Provide leadership and work with all staff to achieve the goals of the "Triple Aim" of healthcare reform—to improve the experience of care, improve health outcomes, and decrease healthcare costs. Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge:

High School Diploma or GED required. Some college or 3-5 years work experience. Proficient Computer skills in software applications of Microsoft Office: Specifically, Word and Excel, Outlook and Teams. Ability to work under pressure and deadlines. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality. Well organized; Accurate and attentive to detail. Excellent communications and public relations abilities. Ability to assist and support others in a professional and respectful manner. Ability to Multi-task and prioritize projects and plan work activities using time efficiently. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
