eBay's Global Information Governance team is seeking an innovative and highly motivated individual to join the team as its eDiscovery Analyst. The analyst role will provide support in data identification, collection, analysis, culling and production for litigation, government inquiries, and investigations. The analyst will work collaboratively with members of the Legal Team, the Information Technology department and the business in the ongoing expansion and development of eDiscovery capabilities and legal technology. This role will be responsible for tracking data requests and eDiscovery metrics and will manage legal eDiscovery vendors to reduce cost and increase efficiencies on discovery matters.

This analyst will provide support for eBay's external Law Enforcement Fast Track and Regular Track portals, together with the internal Global Asset Protection case management tool. In this capacity, the analyst will be responsible for management and prioritization of tool enhancements and bug fixes and will act as a liaison between internal IT support and development teams and the Global Asset Protection team on requirements, configuration of new reports/fields, and user acceptance testing of such enhancements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and work well in a collaborative team environment.

The position is in eBay's Draper (UT) office.


  • BA/BS degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in eDiscovery and/or IT at a law firm, in-house legal department and/or eDiscovery vendor.
  • Exhibits an understanding of current eDiscovery practices and familiarity with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
  • Ability to utilize forensic tools to collect, search, recover, sort, and organize electronic information in all phases of an investigation or litigation matter.
  • Proficient in the collection of data from various sources including Windows, Mac, Exchange/O365/Outlook, SharePoint, file shares, archive systems, back-up systems, and mobile devices.
  • Experience with various eDiscovery data processing/hosting tools and applications.
  • Experience with Discovery Attender is a plus.
  • Ability to prepare and process electronically stored information for loading into document management and review tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with/knowledge of Hadoop is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Pro-active with proven experience in effectively managing competing demands and multiple projects.
  • Must be analytical, technical, flexible, and self-motivated.
