Summary


Sales responsibilities include our CPT, OR accessories, and Minor Procedural Kit segments within Owens and Minor Products Division. This individual must build deep relationships with key OR leadership and purchasing, by demonstrating subject matter expertise, strong analytic acumen, and clinical selling to the OR, Cath Lab, Special Procedures and Labor and Delivery. The position requires working closely with Territory Managers, Region Director, Enterprise team and the Area VP.


The Procedural Kitting & OR Specialist reports to Region Director. Communicates directly with the end user (customer), Territory Manager and Owens & Minor teammates. Responsibilities include delivering high level sales presentations, consulting with customer on their specific needs, preparing quotations for customers as needed, and implementation coordinator. The Procedural Kitting & OR Specialist will be recognized as the in-house expert on CPTs, Minor Kits and Trays, and OR Products within the Halyard portfolio.


Core Responsibilities


Clinical Acumen



  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of medical terminology, diagnosis, etiology, anatomy, treatment, patient positioning, procedure insights, and product needs.


  • Understand Operating Room protocols.

Strategic Acumen



  • Builds relationships across the sales matrix which includes both clinical and non-clinical audiences.


  • Collaborates with all internal stakeholders and other med device vendors to ensure company and customer needs are met. Collaborate with Regional Director and Territory Managers to review strategy and projects.


  • Leverages organizational resources (i.e. SurgiTrack) and business analytics to provide efficiency insights and cost savings to customers.


  • Aligns territory and account strategy to organizational objectives, goals, and strategies.

Results Focused



  • Manages a robust pipeline while demonstrating the ability to take sale through all phases of pipeline (closes business). Can identify GAPs vs. quota with the ability to quickly find solutions to fill the GAPs.


  • The ability to manage complex customer projects and conversions.


  • Provide consultation to understand account goals, account clinical challenges, budget and timeline.

Qualifying Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/related field and


  • Minimum 5+ years prior related experience


  • Minimum 2-3 years of OR space/procedural kitting experience


  • MBA desirable or equivalent experience


  • Medical/ Healthcare marketing and/or sales experience is preferred
