Job Description:


Full-time position to perform various clerical, cashiering, faculty assistance, building monitoring, and other duties at the Lake Placid Center.Typical work schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9 am - 6 pm and Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Maintains a cordial, friendly, courteous attitude to all college staff, students, and community.
  • Responsible for registrations using the Banner system, including but not limited to the following programs; Academics, Community Education, Continuing Workforce Education, and Basic Driver Improvement.
  • Assists students with admission applications, transcript requests, and financial aid forms.
  • Responsible for cashiering duties, including posting payments for registrations, books, fines, test fees, room rentals, etc., together with end-of-the-day cash reporting recorded in the Banner system.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the office and making bank deposits in the absence of the Office Manager.
  • Assists the Lake Placid Center office manager with daily front office duties: answering phone, copying, faxing, and emailing.
  • Schedules student testing and proctors exams, in absence of the office manager.
  • Responsible for charging and discharging books and DVDs in the Library computer system.
  • Assists adjunct instructors with classroom and clerical requests.
  • Reports maintenance problems to appropriate supervisors.
  • Contributes to unit planning, and college institutional effectiveness efforts.
  • Acts in accordance with College policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


Educational: High School diploma or equivalency preferred.


Experiential: Two years of full-time clerical or related experience required. (An A.S. degree in Office Administration or equivalent may substitute for experience requirement.)


Other: Proficient typing skills required; computer literacy in word processing preferred. Some evening hours required. Strong interpersonal skills with all age groups required.

Starting Annual Salary Range: $18,974 - $20,433 ($9.12 - $9.82 per hour)
