Job Summary:

The Privacy Attorney works for the Chief Privacy Officer to ensure the company, including its management, employees and business partners, complies with applicable privacy and data protection laws, related regulations and industry standards. You will partner with our product teams to develop new technologies while managing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will also be called upon to manage and negotiate complex relationships that contribute to our products' success.

As Privacy Attorney your responsibilities will entail:

  • Draft and update form agreements involving privacy.
  • Negotiate privacy-centric customer agreements.
  • Monitoring existing and proposed privacy and electronic communication laws and regulations and evaluate the potential impact on the Company.
  • Understand company products and practices to assist in developing privacy compliance strategies globally.
  • Advise the business regarding new product development and company practices that impact privacy.
  • Develop and disseminate timely and relevant communications across the Company regarding privacy-related practices and procedures, including to business units, and explain privacy practices and legal positions to clients, vendors and other external stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver privacy training according to business and compliance need.
  • Assist in the negotiation of supplier and customer privacy agreements.
  • Assist in the preparation of and carrying out of audits of the Company's privacy practices globally.
  • Manage execution of the Company's response to Data Subject Requests globally.
  • Provide other support as required to operate the Company's Global Privacy Program, including assistance with regulatory registrations, maintaining and updating compliance documentation and policies.
  • Support and provide guidance on the implementation of the Company's Records and Information Management policies, specifically regarding obligations to delete personal data.
  • Deep experience with global privacy regulations, which include GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive and CCPA-CPRA. Working understanding of Australian Privacy Act, HIPAA, PIPEDA and desire to learn LGPD and upcoming regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • JD required
  • 3 years of work experience in data privacy matters


  • Experience with cyber security, information governance, and/or corporate compliance a plus.
  • CIPP certification a plus.
