Manage operations of the NewCourtland Center and activities associated with an institutional training grant, including organization of meetings, dissemination activities and proposal development. Monitor compliance across all Center activity, including regulatory approvals and sponsor guidelines Job Responsibilities 1) Provide administrative leadership to support a broad range of Center initiatives; Support the Center Director in advancing the NCTH’s internal and external partnerships and communication regarding the NCTH’s impact on healthcare system redesign and policies:
  • Administer and track progress of Center activities.
  • Develop systems and procedures to collect, analyze and evaluate information on initiatives.
  • Draft interim, annual and final narrative reports for internal/external purposes.
  • Facilitate communications internal/external to the Center.
  • Administer special projects and events.
2) Provide administrative leadership to support planning, implementation, and evaluation of NCTH’s strategic agenda. Manage operations of the NewCourtland Center by:
  • Attending regular meetings and participates on committees; coordinate regular and ad hoc meetings, develop agendas and work plans, and conduct follow-up.
  • Developing and maintaining professional level contacts with internal and external persons and organizations.
  • Assisting faculty, fellows and students with proposal development and resource management, including expense monitoring.
  • Supporting and promoting visibility of research programs with faculty, fellows and students through wide range of communication strategies including maintaining active Center website and social media.
  • Promoting and coordinating efforts related to the Transitional Care Model and support Dr. Naylor in implementation and dissemination of the model in the US and abroad.
3) Coordinate the implementation of the NINR- funded NRSA program (T32NR009356-14):
  • Support program faculty in recruitment of predoctoral students and postdoctoral; support trainees in completing of applications and prepare summaries for review of eligible applicants by Executive Committee.
  • Complete appointment, hiring, reappointment and/or termination of trainees in collaboration with respective Penn Nursing offices, Office of Research Services, and within NIH eRA Commons.
  • Organize, monitor and report program and individual trainee activity, e.g., completion of responsible conduct of research requirements in collaboration with Penn Nursing Offices and Office of Research Services.
  • Monitor program expenditures.
  • Draft annual program reports for program directors/executive committee.
4) Assure compliance across NCTH sponsored activity:
  • Communicate and facilitate updates with the IRB, Office of Nursing Research and Office of Research Services.
  • Track and monitor compliance with sponsor regulations (external to Penn).
  • Maintain current knowledge of sponsored programs.
