Copart is now seeking truck/transport drivers, in select markets, for their newly delivered fleet of Trucks and 4 and 5 car Hot-Shot Trailers . These drivers will support the local Copart facility in moving vehicles to other Copart yards and for customer pickups and deliveries. During a special project or catastrophe, the drivers will be deployed to various locations across the country to assist in Catastrophe Response (hurricane, hail, flooding). Overnight travel is expected to be 25% of the time and catastrophe response travel will be mandatory.

We are looking for professional, hardworking, focused, team players that are willing to bring their best. Towing, Transport, heavy equipment experience and Class A driver's license.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Must be willing to travel nationally on short notice -- Catastrophe deployments will be mandatory

  • Daily meal allowance paid while traveling

  • Weekly Bonus while traveling

  • Piece Rate based pay while transporting

  • Competitive pay when not transporting

  • Must meet background screening criteria

  • Local pick-up and delivery of vehicles

  • Load/unload vehicles safely and free of damage

  • Operate company equipment in compliance with safety regulations

  • Deploy to catastrophe events within 24 hours when directed to do so

  • Maintain and assure good operating condition of all equipment and facilities

  • Other tasks as assigned by the manager in support of daily auctions



Skills & Experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Possess a CDL A license

  • Must meet background screening criteria

  • Excellent driving record

  • Towing experience preferred

  • HS diploma or GED preferred.

  • One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred.

  • Excellent customer service attitude and skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Positive attitude/High Integrity.

  • Ability to operate heavy equipment.

  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Occasional O.T. as needed.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

  • Travel may be required
