Coordinates all movement of incoming and outgoing product. Manages the routes of all Field Technicians, coordinates deliveries with internal personnel and the retrieval of equipment to be picked up with the sales representatives at our facilities. The Dispatcher is critical in the overall work flow of the day for all departments. The dispatcher uses all necessary tools available such as the surgery scheduler, the GPS system for the vehicles, and reviews current traffic reports to ensure efficiency throughout the work day.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Reviews the surgery scheduler at all times
- Ensures that all scheduled cases are delivered on time
- Verifies surgery scheduler for any added on surgeries that need to be reported to the appropriate individuals
- Assigns routes for the Field Tech’s for all deliveries and retrievals of equipment
- Reviews all routes for productivity and efficiency
- Manages the retrieval of equipment based on information from the sales force
- Utilizes previous patterns for the availability of equipment from accounts
- Ensures that all equipment is retrieved within the expectations given by management
- Motivates and requires all Field Tech’s to be productive and assigns supportive tasks when a route is pending
- Reports and suggests solutions to manager for all shortages or difficult movement of product
- Coordinates with all pods to ensure cases are available to be delivered
- Provides follow up to pod members for retrieval equipment and expected time frame of return
- Communicates the status of deliveries to sales force when requested
- Works closely with the sales force for specific delivery or retrieval instructions
- Communicates and provides a detail report of retrieval information to Inbound Coordinator
- Provides assistance to distribution manager with paperwork requirements and reviews for accuracy
- Excellent communication and strong leadership skills
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
- Organization, Reporting, and Analytical Skills
- Routing Experience preferred
- Use of Computer, GPS, and Routing tools or similar experience is required
- Some driving to hospitals may be needed.
- Knowledge of hospital locations in Western WA is preferred.
