We are Seeking:
PT Northwest has an immediate opening for a motivated individual with an energetic personality to join our team as a Billing Coordinator Authorization Specialistin our Salem clinic location.

Job Duties:
- Obtain authorization as it applies to specific payor requirements
- Confirm patient insurance coverage to ensure therapy treatment is covered for new and established patients
- Understand and articulate information to the treating provider as needed
- Enter data such as insurance information into patient accounts accurately, timely, and completely
- Run daily and bi-weekly reports to prioritize status of authorizations for completion
- Protect PHI and follow HIPPA regulations
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain good rapport with the public, personnel, and clinical staff
- Participate in special projects involving front office quality assurance
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience in a billing office and or medical clinic setting, insurance follow-up, coding, and verification
- Experience in working with extensive voluelectronic medicaltronic billing, collections, all aspects of the accounts receivable cycle, and insurance coding and verification preferred
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Previous experience with medical software required
- Team player with a focus on excellent customer service
- Energetic and able to multi-task
