We are Seeking:

PT Northwest has an immediate opening for a motivated individual with an energetic personality to join our team as a Billing Coordinator Authorization Specialistin our Salem clinic location.

Job Duties:

  • Obtain authorization as it applies to specific payor requirements
  • Confirm patient insurance coverage to ensure therapy treatment is covered for new and established patients
  • Understand and articulate information to the treating provider as needed
  • Enter data such as insurance information into patient accounts accurately, timely, and completely
  • Run daily and bi-weekly reports to prioritize status of authorizations for completion
  • Protect PHI and follow HIPPA regulations
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain good rapport with the public, personnel, and clinical staff
  • Participate in special projects involving front office quality assurance

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience in a billing office and or medical clinic setting, insurance follow-up, coding, and verification
  • Experience in working with extensive voluelectronic medicaltronic billing, collections, all aspects of the accounts receivable cycle, and insurance coding and verification preferred
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Previous experience with medical software required
  • Team player with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Energetic and able to multi-task
  • Outgoing and energetic personality. Most importantly – you need to have FUN while you work!
