We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated scientist or engineer to support non-literal GEOINT production and advancement of analytical processes/techniques for passive sensors (i.e., thermal and/or spectral). The individual will support advanced remote sensing exploitation functions through detailed technical data analysis and through the development and improvement of Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) of remotely sensed data, including the evaluation of data from new sensors. All team members are expected to be able to work independently and collaboratively with other scientists, engineers, and analysts on complex exploitation issues.

Essential Job Functions:

As an Imagery Scientist, you could expect to:

Utilize advanced GEOINT tools to analyze and exploit remotely sensed data to produce and disseminate non-literal passive GEOINT products.

Provide technical leadership to teams performing exploitation and process development.

Analyze and develop processes to support the exploitation of unique, anomalous, and difficult datasets utilizing engineering principles and a physics-based analytical approach.

Perform algorithm development for complex data exploitation processes.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in STEM field (Engineering, Physics, Remote Sensing, Mathematics, Geology, or a related scientific field) and at least five years of related experience.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Experience in processing and analyzing remote sensing data from passive sensors, especially thermal and/or spectral data.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Strong technical writing and briefing skills.

Desired Skills:

An ideal candidate may bring the following attributes, although these are not firm requirements for consideration:

Experience with ENVI and/or similar software tools.

Familiarity with chemistry/spectroscopy.

Intelligence production experience.

GEOINT expertise.

Ability to code/script, such as in Python, MATLAB, R, and/or IDL.
