Position Overview:
Currently seeking Interim Senior Manager Corporate Accountant who will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. You will oversee a team of accounting professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and the execution of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Leading the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Conducting in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards.
  • Providing big picture insights into the company's financial performance and making strategic recommendations.
General Ledger Oversight:
  • Managing the general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Supervising and reviewing the reconciliation of accounts, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
  • Developing and implementing procedures to enhance general ledger efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Managing and mentoring a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Providing guidance and support to team members to enhance their technical and leadership skills.
Internal Controls and Process Improvement:
  • Evaluating and enhancing internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements to streamline accounting procedures.
  • Participating in system implementation projects to optimize financial reporting tools.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and Operations, to ensure alignment on financial matters and initiatives.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on accounting-related issues, providing guidance to non-finance stakeholders.
Auditing and Compliance:
  • Coordinating with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and tax reporting requirements.
  • Managing and responding to audit inquiries and requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
  • Extensive experience in corporate accounting, in a medium to large company including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
