VP of Engineering

Vaco has been engaged by a client in a manufacturing industry to identify a VP of Engineering. This VP will lead and oversee the engineering team for designing, developing, and maintaining transportation-related systems and technologies. This includes managing a diverse team of engineers, setting strategic goals, ensuring timely project delivery, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to drive innovation and efficiency within the transportation sector. Strong leadership skills, technical expertise in transportation engineering, and a keen understanding of transportation technologies will be essential for excelling in this role. The individual will also be expected to drive innovation, manage projects, and maintain compliance with industry regulations while contributing to the company's growth and competitive positioning.
Position qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.). Strong academic background and a history of continuous learning in engineering and related disciplines preferred.
• Substantial experience in engineering roles, preferably in transportation or related sectors.
• Minimum of 10 -15 years’ experience in developing and implementing engineering strategies to drive business growth, preferably in trailer, heavy equipment, or OEM transportation industry
• Demonstrated efficiency in computer software including Siemens NX, ANSYS, Microsoft Office, Sage X3 or similar CAD and ERP system experience.
