Vaco's client in the Lehigh Valley is seeking a Bookkeeper on a direct-hire basis. This position is fully onsite. Local candidates only, please!
Key Responsibilities for Bookkeeper
Key Responsibilities for Bookkeeper
- Record and classify financial transactions in the general ledger
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and payment processing
- Prepare and maintain vendor and customer files
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, assets, and liabilities
- Prepare and process payroll, including tax filings and remittances
- Provide support for external audit activities
- Collaborate with the finance team on special projects and initiatives, as needed
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or related role
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
