Shift Available: 1st shift hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is available and occasional Saturday flexibility is required JOB SUMMARY Our Small Piece Assemblers continually work with their hands and deal with small details. With the assistance of microscopes and tweezers, the Assembler will build components and sub-assemblies for high-powered lasers following a set routine with specific procedures and instructions while operating machinery and standing at a workstation JOB FUNCTIONS Duties/Responsibilities: (essential job functions in order of importance) • Inspect, kit, install, and assemble components of fiber-optic medical products: optical fibers, ferrules, connectors, and packaging components • Operate manufacturing test equipment: fiber-optic strippers and cleavers, power meters, oscilloscopes, laser test stations, RFID readers, and microscopes • Use bonding materials: epoxies, glues, etc • Wear appropriate cleanroom attire, work in a controlled manufacturing area requiring coats, hair and beard nets, gloves, and booties • Use generic cleaning liquids (alcohol, isopropanol alcohol, acetone, etc.) • Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas • Cross-train in production process or area as assigned by the Supervisor • Meet assigned production metrics as defined by the Supervisor • Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
