You'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of aviation repair and maintenance through training and OVERVIEW/JOB DUTIES: • Installs stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools • Operates hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery • Troubleshoots, inspects and examines machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions • Adjusts machinery and repairs or replaces defective parts • Understands operation of Grinders, Lathes, Mills, Ovens and Vacuum Furnaces • Cleans, lubricates and performs other routine maintenance work on machinery • .Assembles machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment • Schedules routine preventative maintenance work • Makes recommendations to management and engineering for improvement of preventative maintenance practices • Recommends replacement of equipment as required and assesses the condition of used equipment prior to purchase • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions • Machine leveling/alignments per OEM specs using precision leveling/alignment equipment • Carries out other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Thorough knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and control systems • High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision • Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints., electrical, mechanical, hydraulic • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) during the average work day • Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods • Completion of an electro, mechanical apprenticeship program; or equivalent • Attainment of trade certification • Ability to pass respirator physical • Familiarity with machine tool industry a plus • Familiarity with machine tools, i.e., VTL's, engine lathes, CNC mills/lathes, bake out ovens, vacuum furnaces and Fanuc and Allen Bradley controls a plus Benefits that make life better: • Comprehensive Healthcare • 401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vested • Paid Time Off starting on day one • Bonus opportunities • Health- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts • Short- & Long-Term Disability • Life & AD&D Insurance • Learning & Training opportunities • Tuition Reimbursement Raising the Standard of Excellence since 1911 With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
