Avera St. Luke's Named Top 20 Rural Community Hospital Position Highlights: • Paid Time Off (PTO) available on Day 1! • Options for Free Health Insurance! • Competitive wages with regular increases and benefits • Provide patient care in a modern, fast-paced laboratory Job Summary • Appropriate specimen collection and corresponding orders for diagnostic testing • Performance and appropriate documentation of diagnostic testing • Accurate and timely reporting of diagnostic testing • Performance and interpretation of Quality Control/Calibration and participation in all quality assessment/improvement activities • Maintaining clinical competency through on-going education and professional development • Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer’s status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department Education and/or Experience • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science • Minimum: Clinical internship/education as part of Associate Degree Program Licensure/Certification/Registration • National Certification: MLT (ASCP) or equivalent • Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date Work Schedule • Day/Evening shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks - 7:30 am - 8:00 pm; shifts range from 8 hours to 11 hours - Every 3rd weekend / holiday Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below.
