We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic I to join our Production & Manufacturing Facility in Port Washington, WI. In this role, you'll be instrumental to the team as you provide technical support for all manufacturing and warehouse equipment and look to create more efficient processes while ensuring a safe and comfortable work environment. The work you do within our Maintenance team is directly supporting the creation and crafting of handcraft high-quality men's shoes.
What You'll Be Doing:What You'll Be Doing
- Repair & Maintain Manufacturing Equipment. Assist in installation, tear down and rebuilds of machinery (Lathes, mills, etc) and tool sharpening/management. Assist with Line Layouts.
- Diagnostics & Maintenance. Work with operators to troubleshoot machinery and complete preventable maintenance.
- Manage Inventory & Fabrication of Parts. Repair and fabricate parts and components. Manage inventory of parts on site.
- Assist with Building/Groundskeeping. Assist with snow removal, grass cutting, when necessary.

Qualifications that make you the perfect fit!
- 1+ years industrial maintenance experience OR completion of technical degree in related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude, required.
- Fabrication skills including basic welding and machining, required.
- Ability to diagnose and repair basic problems. Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine issues.
- Ability to build a rapport with all operators and create a communication feedback loop to ensure early detection of possible equipment failures
- An open minded, positive attitude is a must!
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, required
