Engineering Manager

An Engineering Manager provides leadership and direction to technically support professionals - salaried and hourly and help ensure the company's goals of continual improvement through profitable growth, and increased customer values are met. The candidate should demonstrate characteristics of a strong team player being able to work with other departments to drive improvement as a collective.

Highlights of the Role:

•People, Safety / Environmental, and Community: Coach, monitor, and reinforce development and training of team members. Promote Company Values and ensure safety criteria. Direct technical ergonomic improvement projects. Promote Visual Factory Management. Complete performance reviews. Metrics established yearly, goals set, and performance tracked for identified areas. Collaborate with other departments to ensure project successes. Support community events endorsed by the company.
•Quality: Provide direction and install systems to ensure a quality product is manufactured in a cost-effective manner. Direct systems to ensure timely root cause and corrective actions and performance tracked to closure.
•Delivery / Productivity: Continually improve line flow and flexibility to produce product in most cost-effective manner to meet customer delivery expectations. Direct and assure productivity improvement projects.
•Cost Improvements: Manage & Lead Technical group to promote continuous improvement initiatives including projects & teams, and process/ system improvements; Focus on training, reducing manufacturing costs and improve operations.
•Delivery: Develop and monitor budget which will contribute to profitable growth. Support new product launches and enhancements. Work with SECEG group to identify, acquire, and install needed equipment. Promote Technical group involvement in developing product ideas submitted to R&D and Marketing.

You are a good fit if:

•Bachelor's degree in a related field; Engineering ideal; MBA a plus.
•Six years progressive management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Engineering background preferred.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook,
Power BI a plus
•Leadership skills and competencies appropriate to the position; Proven project mgt. skills leading technical resources.
•Effective communication, interpersonal ability, and teamwork mindset
•Time management and follow through skills.
•Able to manage and coordinate multiple projects.
•Process and systems knowledge: manufacturing, quality, and safety systems.

Schedule:

Primarily 1st shift but does vary.
