Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Cardiovascular RN to join our dynamic Cardiovascular Center. The unit provides specialized care to patients with a focus on Cardiology, Thoracic, Vascular and CT surgery. Some patients suffer from multisystem disease processes that require specialized nursing care with the potential for more intensive monitoring and care when unforeseen complications arise. Patients on 3South will transition from a critical care unit directly to promote continuity by allowing specialized monitoring, treatments and nursing care to continue without jeopardizing quality and outcomes. Nurses embrace the Primary Nurse Model of Care and are knowledgeable and competent in providing care to a more complex patient. In addition to being proficient in noninvasive and invasive cardiac monitoring and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, nurses pursue specialty certification in Medical-Surgical and/or Progressive Care Nursing.

  • Current RN License in good standing with state licensing board.
  • BSN required OR enrollment and completion of BSN within 5 years
  • Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience in an acute care setting.
  • BLS certification (ACLS within 3 months of hire)
