Maintenance Technician

Gallatin, TN

Pay Range: $24.96 - $33.28 per hour

$1/hr premium for 2nd shift

$2/hr premium for 3rd shift

Sign On Bonus: $5,000 paid out over 6 months

Responsibilities

• Must understand importance of quality requirements by maintaining, adjusting, and repairing manufacturing equipment in a timely manner when necessary to meet customer needs.

• Must adhere to relevant TS16949 and ISO14001 systems work instructions, processes, and procedures.

• Correct mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, etc., problems and if not possible, report concerns to group leader and/or Dept. Manager.

• Maintain, inspect, repair and/or adjust trim fixtures, assembly fixtures, support equipment, etc., when necessary to ensure employee safety and product quality.

• Advise group leader and/or department manager when spare parts are used for repairs.

• Possibly create and generate requisitions if required. Organize spare parts if necessary.

• Follow lockout/tagout procedures as well as safety rules 100% of the time.

• Use MP2 software to communicate Work Orders and document use of spare parts.

• Perform timely Preventative Maintenance on assigned fixtures and machinery.

• Carry and enforce ABC Technologies workplace safety guidelines and health and safety statement.

• Ensure safety concerns that arise from safety incidents, accidents or safety meetings are corrected immediately.

• Ensure work instructions are followed to produce quality part per customer specifications.

• Cooperate, participate and lead corrective actions in conjunction with health and safety committee, continuous improvement team and other departments within facility.

• Ensure all local, state and federal laws are upheld and followed in relation to safety, environmental, hiring and recruitment and worker safety, as stated by TOSHA and the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Association.

• Contribute to a work environment free from harassment, where fairness, equality and non-discriminatory practices are standard

• Adhere to the Quality Policy and Environmental Policy as they relate to ISO 9001:2008 and EMS ISO 14001:2004 and TS 16949

Environmental Responsibilities

• All Employees must follow all environmental rules and policies in the efforts to preserve energy and reduce waste.

• All Employees must report any spills immediately and correct unsafe conditions where possible.

• All Employees must comply with company’s environmental requirements and operational controls and work in compliance with ABC Technologies environmental policy.

Safety Responsibilities

• All employees are responsible for following and the implementation of all ABC Group Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures which are created in accordance to 29 CFR 1910 (General Industry OSHA Regulations)

• All employees must follow all ABC Group Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures (which are located on the MyABC portal)

Security & Housekeeping

• Visitors must sign in at front desk, shipping or receiving area and wear visitor badge and remain with their designated host at all times.

• All Employees shall ensure that no person(s) enter upon company property for the purpose of solicitation, reporting all solicitations to Senior Site Manager

• All Employees shall ensure that no unauthorized people enter the company facilities. Verify that all doors are locked, lights turned off and equipment is shut down when required.

• All Employees shall ensure the building is clean and a safe workplace at all times.

• No food or drink is permitted in the warehouse, production areas, except approved ABC drink bottles.

Confidentiality

Must not disclose to any person, without ABC Technologies consent, any information concerning its inventions, processes, methods, trade secrets or procedures owned or used by the Company or any confidential information relating to the Company’s business affairs, including but not limited to pricing, customer locations, etc. Must not disclose, information related to individual’s employment current or past without written consent from the individual in question, including information regarding, employment status, disciplinary status, pay, including other matters related to an individual’s employment at ABC Technologies.

Required Experience

2-3 yrs. Experience in maintenance in automotive industry.

Required Education

High School Graduate or GED

Computer Skills

Windows, Microsoft Office

Organizational Skills Required

Must be able to read, write, and speak English
