The Opportunity
This position works out of our Lake County, IL location in BTS (Business Technology Services) unit. As an Application Architect, you’ll have the chance to adapt existing processes and provide solutions to improve or establish new processes. You will be an individual contributor with an ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects; work with technical staff to integrate hardware, software and network interfaces to form a system.
What You’ll Work On
- Serve as an SAP PTP Application Architect to develop, test and implement significant new solutions, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit.
- Review, approve System Change Requests in the area of SAP Materials Management, Accounts Payable and related functionalities.
- Conduct investigation activity/research and give technical advice to the adoption or integration of new technologies and their business impact for PTP related items.
- Lead in the development of standards and procedures and publish/communicate findings via IOI’s, presentations, white papers, etc.
- Review, validate and enhance design, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning; install, test and upgrade releases and associated products.
- Evaluate and recommend new procurement process and system related software, utilities, and tools in the area of SAP Procure To Pay (PTP).
- Set the strategy for implementing new technologies in specialized systems (e.g., SAP) effectively set options to change the way the program works (PTP Architect responsibilities).
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering discipline.
- 12+ years’ experience in full life-cycle of SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) projects.
- Expertise in SAP Procure To Pay (PTP) design, configuration and testing.
Preferred qualifications:
- SAP Materials Management (MM): Direct and Indirect Procurement (Contracts, Purchase Requisitions/Orders, Goods Receipts, Invoice Receipts, Vendor Master, Source Lists, etc.). Stock Transport Orders and Intercompany Goods movement.
- SAP Accounts Payable (FI-AP)
- PTP business experience/knowledge
- Experience in SRM, Ariba, SAP MDG is desirable, but not mandatory.

The base pay for this position is $102,700.00 – $205,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
