12Degree Brewing is a craft brewery and pub located in downtown Louisville specializing in Belgian-inspired beers, artisanal pizzas, hand-made pretzels, Belgian-style frites, and a variety of salads and small dishes. We have won World Beer Cup Small Brewpub of the Year, and were chosen by USA Today as one of the Top 10 Brewpubs in the country. Our approach to food is to do a few things very, very well rather than have a large menu.
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to lead our crew. Must have experience managing a small team and have excellent pizza dough knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the crew, we believe in continuous improvement across all positions
- Manage the schedule
- Manage ordering and inventory and maintain relationships with our suppliers
- Create prep lists
- Ensure our quality and consistency remain high
- Develop and execute periodic specials
- Ensure cleaning protocols are followed and that we are in compliance with health codes
- Assist with hiring and training new staff
Salary is 53,000 - 57,000K per year. Benefits include profit-sharing and paid vacation time. No more than 50 hours per week and 2 days off in a row every week. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and occasional special events.
