U.S. Bank is seeking the full-time position of API Developer in Irving, TX.
Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain products. Take full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code. Consistently create optimal design adhering to architectural best practice. Use an understanding of a feature, the users and flows impacted, and the feature's purpose. Consider scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs. Make sound design/coding decisions, keeping customer experience in the forefront. Take feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards. Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures. Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices. Embrace emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation. Review tasks critically and ensure they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery. Anticipate and communicate blockers and delays before they require escalation.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronic or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as an Engineer, Developer, Analyst, or related occupation. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Electronic or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience in the job offered or as an Engineer, Developer, Analyst, or related occupation.
Position also requires experience with the following: (1) Microservices with RESTful APIs using Spring Boot; (2) API Production and Consumption; (3) Git or GitLab; (4) CI/CD solutions including Jenkins and Maven; (5) Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $125,000 - $150,500
