Job Description

FSV Payment Systems, Inc., part of the U.S. Bank family is seeking the position of Software Engineer in Minneapolis, MN.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The Software Engineer will collaborate with a team and across the organization; take responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience; and be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. Specifically the Software Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing portal applications using Liferay DXP, installing and patching Liferay DXP instances including clusters in cloud (AWS) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
  • Developing portal themes using gradle; custom web contents using Velocity VM, Freemarker, Bootstrap 4, AlloyUI; and Web-based and Client-Server applications using Java/J2EE, JDBC, Servlets, OSGI, Apache, Hibernate, JPA, Spring MVC, JSP, GWT, HTML, CSS, JNDI, JSTL, XML/XSL, JavaMail, LDAP and Bootstrapping, SQL queries, PL/SQL.
  • Designing, developing, deploying and maintaining REST and SOAP webservices using the following tools/technologies: Swagger 2.0; Jersey and Spring Framework; EKS; Kubernetes; Rancher; Spring Boot; API Lifecycle Navigator, Apigee Platform; API Management; XML; JSON; and developing/implementing communication data channels using various mechanisms (basic authentication, OAuth 2.0, JWT).
  • Protecting code from vulnerabilities by scanning the code using fortify, Blackduck, and Prism; protecting the network or communication channel using shared and CA signed certificates at Akamai center; renewing the certificates periodically using Venafi.
  • Embracing emerging technology opportunities and contributing to the best practices in support of the bank’s technology transformation; contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement; reviewing tasks critically and ensuring they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; and anticipating and communicating blockers and delays before they require escalation.
  • Company HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402; may telecommute from any location in the U.S.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and three years of related software engineering experience in the Financial / Banking industry. Alternatively, may have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in same fields and 5 years of related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) software engineering experience in the Financial / Banking industry.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must also have 36 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: 1) Developing portal applications using Liferay DXP, installing and patching Liferay DXP instances including clusters in cloud (AWS) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). 2) Developing portal themes using gradle; custom web contents using Velocity VM, Freemarker, Bootstrap 4, AlloyUI; and Web-based and Client-Server applications using Java/J2EE, JDBC, Servlets, OSGI, Apache, Hibernate, JPA, Spring MVC, JSP, GWT, HTML, CSS, JNDI, JSTL, XMUXSL, JavaMail, LDAP and Bootstrapping, SQL queries, PUSQL. 3) Designing, developing, deploying and maintaining REST and SOAP webservices using the following tools/technologies: Swagger 2.0; Jersey and Spring Framework; EKS; Kubemetes; Rancher; Spring Boot; API Lifecycle Navigator, Apigee Platform; API Management; XML; JSON; and developing/implementing communication data channels using various mechanisms (basic authentication, OAuth 2.0, JWT). 4) Protecting code from vulnerabilities by scanning the code using fortify, Blackduck, and Prism; protecting the network or communication channel using shared and CA signed certificates at Akamai center, renewing the certificates periodically using Venafi. All experience may have been gained concurrently, before or after Master's degree earned.

Telecommuting available anywhere in US. HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $79,000 - $135,200
