  • Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing, Liberal Arts or related field plus two (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience may substitute for the education up to the maximum of four (4) years.

Pay Range $23.76 – $27.56 per hour
Hours Assigned work hours and location can be subject to change and will vary based upon scheduled events and business needs. which may include working weekends, evenings, and/or holidays.

Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working in a public/private assembly facility and/or assisting in managing events involving large crowds.
  • Experience performing security needs assessments.
  • Experience developing security event proposals.
  • Experience being the primary point of contact for internal and external clients for security operations.
  • Experience directing security staff, delegating personnel assignments, and devising schedules.
  • Experience working in public safety (law enforcement, emergency medical services, or fire department) or security (facility or event) environment.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite products, including but not limited to operational use of Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel to one or more work locations.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
  • Serves as primary department contact with event clients for convention services. Determines course of action for division and cost impact on clients and customers during events. Collect pre-convention/event information to ensure adequate services are available.
  • Reviews/inspects area to ensure clients have all committed services. Coordinates the provisioning of convention services for the facility during events.
  • Compiles data/information for cash reports, cost estimates, revenue estimates and actual, etc.
  • Writes/drafts routine correspondence and maintain event files.
  • Coordinates on-site staff related to convention services for exhibitions, trade shows, meetings etc.
  • Communicates with other department divisions regarding client needs for special services.
  • Collects, analyzes, and compares convention services and fees to other facilities.
  • Assists in reviewing the development of division policies and procedures and operational manual.
  • Answers client/citizen questions related to convention services and provide assistance
