The Manager in Program Management works closely with the research teams (internal or external) and development teams to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure execution of the aligned strategy. In certain cases, the project manager will have a particular focus on a function within the program - supporting a major deliverable. The project manager may lead this effort. Possess an understanding of cross-functional early or late-stage drug development (and respective stage gates)

The individual will proactively manage program/project management activities, including integrating cross functional deliverables and milestones across projects and programs, budget oversight, cross-functional communication, status reporting, and resource plan development for certain selected larger projects. The individual may also support non-clinical teams for late-stage programs as required

Additionally, this individual will support Workfront, the Program Management Information System leveraged at SRP and selected activities being supported by Workfront Admin team. The candidate is one who thrives in a dynamic environment with multi-tasking abilities. The individual will work closely with Workfront System Admins and collaborate to enhance the PMs’ experience in Workfront. The individual will recommend changes and improvements to all aspects of Workfront, both input and report outputs, with a specific focus on PM change management and liaising between the PMs and Workfront Administrators

The ideal candidate would be an expert communicator, accountable project manager and positive relationship builder. An individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and understands how to help translate strategy and drive initiatives. The candidate will have a scientific background, experience with drug development, and operations Primary PM Responsibilities include:
  • Serves as program manager for development program subteams providing leadership, coordination, and cross-functional communication to enable teams to meet their aligned goals through improved, cross-functional decision making.
  • Aligns cross-functional program goals with Sarepta’s R&D and corporate goals, regularly tracks goals and proactively develops mitigations to achieve goals on time
    • For external programs, ensures that the internal Sarepta deliverables are executed, tracked, and communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Works with the team leader to ensure that critical thinking and risk-based driven decision making is embedded in strategic planning and tactical plans
  • Guides and independently manages development of presentations for different teams (internal or external) and audiences up to, and including, executive management.
  • As needed, collaborates with cross functional team members to facilitate a smooth transition from research to development
    • This includes driving the authoring, review, and completion of the research monograph and associated R2D documentation by subject matter experts and other team members
Primary Workfront Responsibilities include:
  • Serve to support the Program Management team with all things Workfront
  • Develop Workfront reports and dashboards using text mode and light programming
  • Utilizes Program Management best practices to provide support to the Program Manager to ensure proper timeline management within WF
  • Helps to maintain project timelines and supports Program Managers as needed to maintain integrated timelines that serve as a “single source of truth” for all programs.
  • Facilitates development of presentations to support decision-making under the direction of the Program Manager, this includes slide decks for program strategy reviews by the broader organization.
  • Helps in the creation of the department dashboards
  • Collates necessary project data to support program decision making.
Desired Education and Skills:
  • BS or equivalent
  • 2+ years industry related experience
  • Program management experience is bonus
  • General knowledge of drug development process (early phase through to late-stage)
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to successfully multi-task, prioritize, manage projects/timelines, and organize/track complex information with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail

However, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time The targeted salary range for this position is $112,000 - $140,000 per year.
