AECOM Technical Services, Inc. has multiple openings for a Digital Solutions Manager to be based in New York, NY.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement innovative business intelligence tools and information management systems for major programs.
  • Contribute to developing automated workflows to support AECOM standards and increase productivity/digitalization.
  • Support the Transport (Building Information Modeling) Network in growing BIM understanding and capability for the market.
  • Support general and project-specific training to internal and external team members on processes, tools, and project requirements.
  • Lead the internal awareness training on BIM processes and new technologies.
  • Maintain competency of relevant software through continued use and training.
  • Make decisions and recommendations backed up by data and market research.
  • Initiate and maintain extensive contacts with senior-level managers within the company and with key officials of other organizations and companies.
  • Anticipate and solve both routine and unusual structure/design problems, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse activities.
  • Coordinate with the Infrastructure team to identify BIM solutions that will enhance interoperability between Digital Delivery tools.
  • Coordinate and track digital strategy, adoption, pursuits, and project delivery.
  • Align digital strategies with regional growth strategies and focus on key clients.
  • Develop project digital strategies working with the project manager and other disciplines leads. 
  • Produce and manage project BIM documentation including BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Master Information Delivery Plans, Model Production Delivery Tables, and Task Information Delivery Plans.
  • Stay informed on industry best practice for the Transport market and advise on how best to implement these within AECOM.
  • Assist and develop BIM Vision, goals, and objectives (Short-term, Mid-Term, and Long-Term). Act as Digital/BIM manager on AECOM projects. Develop BIM requirements, BIM standards, and projects BEP (BIM execution plan).
  • Provide in-house (“train the trainer”) sessions for BIM Manager and BIM coordinators. Research and develop on latest technology and breakthroughs in the field.
  • Organize the BIM environment. Develop, implement, and enforce BIM Standards. 
  • Lead project BIM coordination meetings.
  • Develop customized BIM tools that automate, integrate and optimize the process.
  • Assist AECOM on project best BIM strategy implementation.
  • Provide BIM process Management. Provide AECOM BIM SWOT analysis development.
  • Provide expertise in conducting and gathering functional requirements and translating these into technical solutions.
  • Set and report against effective objectives and key results.
  • Define and communicate preferred platforms, frameworks, and cornerstone applications for each technical practice in the business line.
  • Identify digital talent from across the business line and connect them.
  • Share best practices, scripts, and libraries.
  • Map out the new digital capabilities the business line should adopt.
  • Prepare change management plans and communication materials to support regional adoption teams.
  • Track and communicate  monthly adoption.
  • Prepare educational materials for internal teams and clients.
  • Showcase proof points and case studies.
  • Provide backup support for other Digital Delivery applications.
  • Leverage experience and 3D skillset to contribute to other digital transformation efforts with other 3D platforms including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, OpenBridge, OpenRoads, and Hexagon, as well as Microsoft Power Platform.
  • May telecommute.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a digital solutions-related occupation.
  • Position requires:
  1. AEC digital solution delivery;
  2. AEC software development and automations;
  3. Managing the BIM and Digital Information element of multi-disciplinary projects;
  4. Common Data Environments;
  5. Agile development practices;
  6. .NET C# Development, Asp.Net, WPF Development, and Multi-threading development;
  7. SQL Server, Oracle, and NoSQL databases;
  8. Revit and Revit API;
  9. Autodesk Forge;
  10. WinForms, WPF, or Asp.net;
  11. Navisworks or Solibri;
  12. Financial reporting;
  13. Research and development;
  14. Computational Geometry and 3D Math applied to 3D Graphics and Models; and
  15. Managing teams to deliver project data to industry standards.


Offered rate of compensation (New York city locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $183,414 - $190,000.
