Job Description:

The Senior Systems Engineer will perform Engineering and Systems Operational support for Business Unit aligned functions including Application Support, Cloud Enablement, Environment Management, Digital tier & Web Operations, Platform Engineering and DMZ Network Operations. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you will evolve and sustain an innovative agile culture.

The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Math, etc.) required.

  • 4-6+ years of hands-on experience deploying and/or supporting highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale in the Cloud (AWS certification a plus)

  • Experience Python, shell scripting, and Ansible/AWX

  • Demonstrated ability to think abstractly, to apply reason to complex situations, and to express thoughts clearly and logically

  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, and implementation.

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/Docker

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated technologies

  • Knowledge of basic networking (ping, traceroute, DNS)

  • Experience with search and analytics engines (Splunk, Datadog)

  • Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems

  • Ability to analyze the root cause of complex problems and to apply structured thinking/reasoning under pressure

  • Experience with workflow design, data analysis, and requirements identification/specification

  • Ability to provide 24x7 support for the production environments
