Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Clerk to join our expanding team. As a critical member of our procurement department, you will ensure the smooth and cost-effective acquisition of materials essential for our telecommunications construction projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create and process purchase orders for telecommunications construction materials adhering to company policies and procedures
• Conduct research to obtain competitive quotes from reputable vendors
• Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to secure the best value for the company
• Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate re-orders as needed
• Collaborate with project managers to identify and source materials required for specific projects
• Track delivery schedules and promptly address any delays or discrepancies
• Cultivate positive and professional relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Assist in researching new materials and technologies relevant to telecommunications construction
• The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time

Job Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• At least 1 year of experience in purchasing or a related field is preferred
• Experience in the telecommunications industry is a strong advantage
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software
