Purchasing Clerk
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Clerk to join our expanding team. As a critical member of our procurement department, you will ensure the smooth and cost-effective acquisition of materials essential for our telecommunications construction projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and process purchase orders for telecommunications construction materials adhering to company policies and procedures
- Conduct research to obtain competitive quotes from reputable vendors
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to secure the best value for the company
- Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate re-orders as needed
- Collaborate with project managers to identify and source materials required for specific projects
- Track delivery schedules and promptly address any delays or discrepancies
- Cultivate positive and professional relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Assist in researching new materials and technologies relevant to telecommunications construction

Job Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- At least 1 year of experience in purchasing or a related field is preferred
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is a strong advantage
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software
