As a Receivables Clerk, you will be responsible collecting, reviewing, and analyzing customer receivables accounts. You will also be responsible for the documentation of all collection activity within the AR system. The Receivables Clerk will have direct client contact and must be able to communicate professionally to ensure the accuracy of accounts, send invoices, collect payments, and answer client inquiries.

Essential Functions

  • Provide a high level of technical client service to both internal and external stakeholders to secure timely payment of invoices;
  • Collect and review customer accounts;
  • Communicate professionally with external clients to ensure accuracy of accounts, send invoices, collect payments, and answer client inquiries;
  • Perform analytical reviews on client accounts;
  • Properly document all collection activity in Aperture’s AR system;
  • Provide external clients with payment arrangement options in an effort to avoid collections activity; and
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

  • High School Diploma or higher
  • 1-3 years’ of experience preferred
  • Experience working in the legal field preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of basic math, bookkeeping and accounting skills
  • Strong and professional communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
  • Attention to detail and focus on analysis is required

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to sit at a desk up to 80% of the time
  • The ability to stand and walk up to 20% of the time
  • The ability to be confined in a small area, such as a cubicle
  • The ability to operate phones and computers
  • The ability to work in front of a computer for a majority of the day

Hours of Work

  • Fulltime: Defined as 5 days a week for 40 hours per week. Actual working hours will be discussed with the hiring manager.
