Assistant Center Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide important and essential experiences to support community well-being through recreation programs. Demonstrate awareness around developmental needs of participants, with a focus on healthy living, civic engagement, and build relationships with participants and families through Special Olympics, Unified Programs, and community interest activities.

Successful candidate supervises recreation activities, especially adaptive programs for persons aged 2 and up. The Assistant Center Supervisor will develop, coordinate, and implement programs; supervise staff and volunteers; assist with program registration and reports; develop and monitor budgets for areas of responsibility.

HOURS: 40 hours/week – Tuesdays 10:45 am -7:15 pm, Wednesdays noon-8:30, Thursdays and Fridays 9:30 am -6 pm, Saturdays 8 am-4:30 pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by college-level coursework in recreation, physical education or related field plus two years of experience related to the delivery of recreation programs; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills.
