Job Duties:

  • Provide project management for the BHDS Division and analyzes division needs by conducting research and meeting with relevant internal, external, and regional stakeholders.
  • Perform statistical analysis, program assessment, program evaluation and develop appropriate recommendations to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the multiple substance use disorders (SUD) programs to include, Opioid Abatement Authority (OAA), Restore – Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) program, Pathways Center, and the State Opioid Response (SOR) program, etc. division projects.
  • Assist program planning, development, implementation/project plans, timelines, communication plans, and monitors implementation milestones.
  • Continuously evaluate activities to strive to improve program's service delivery to individuals.
  • Utilize leadership skills and provide leadership to community partners, volunteers and professional staff to enhance services to individuals receiving substance use treatment.
  • Prepare professional quality reports, white papers, briefings and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Manage and develop program financial tracking systems and completes reports regarding budget and program performance indicators.
  • Assist with database management and organizational tasks.
  • Promote and educate communities on SUD initiatives through awareness campaigns, public relations, community forums, town hall meetings, schools, recreation centers, faith-based organizations, etc.
  • Direct efforts to research, promote, and implement new SUD community-based programs, recovery resources and supports to include but not limited to, prevention programs, treatment, and aftercare.

Minimum Requirements:

MINIMUMS: Requires any combination of education (above the high school level) and/or experience equivalent to eight (8) years in fields utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities, such as public or business administration. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.

Experience with general research, strategic planning, and project management principles.
Experience leading/ facilitating work groups/ coordinating ideas involving diverse stakeholders while developing a unified response.
Experience with data-driven service delivery, with a focus on developing and tracking outcome-based service models and budget guidelines.
Experience creating and delivering professional reports, white papers, correspondences, and PowerPoint presentations.
Experience reviewing and interpreting financial records, preparing detailed financial reports, cost accounting studies, and generating complex revenue projections.
Experience and Knowledge of mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, policymakers, and human services programs.
