AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager / Environmental Engineer to manage a variety of investigation/remediation projects from the Denver, Colorado office.  The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate investigation/remediation project and remedial design experience, require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing scope, schedule, and budget for large-sized investigation/remediation projects
  • Building strong client relationships
  • Client and regulatory correspondence
  • Technical report writing and review
  • Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise
  • Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
  • Preparing cost estimates and proposals
  • Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
  • Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors
  • Responsible for quality control of tasks
  • Mentor project Jr. staff
  • Will require some regional travel for field visits

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or closely related field and
  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager on site investigation/remediation projects and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • US Citizenship is Required, we will not be able to sponsor for this role.  
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass any pre-employment assessments, which will include a background check, motor vehicle driving record.   

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as environmental remediation engineer in environmental consulting with verifiable remediation exp.
  • 4+ years of project management experience
  • PE license, or ability to obtain with 6 months of hire
  • Experience working with environmental regulatory agencies
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
