The Opportunity

We're on the lookout for a passionate Senior Director of Major Gifts to lead the charge in garnering significant support from individuals, businesses, and foundations. This pivotal role will be at the heart of a transformative $10 million fundraising initiative, enhancing our capability to serve communities nationwide. By joining forces with our executive team and leveraging your expertise, you'll be instrumental in forging impactful partnerships and furthering our mission.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Strategic Development: Collaborate with executive leadership to devise and implement a strategic fundraising plan, aligning with our core mission and goals.

Major Gift Acquisition: Take the helm in identifying, cultivating, and securing major gifts (targeting donations over $100k), focusing on building long-term relationships with key donors.

Campaign Management: Play a central role in our $10 million Vision for the Future campaign, coordinating efforts across teams and with board and campaign committees to achieve fundraising targets.

Donor Engagement: Use your initiative to create opportunities for meaningful interaction between donors and our leadership, ensuring alignment with donor interests and fostering enduring partnerships.

Stewardship: Oversee a comprehensive donor management strategy, from initial engagement to ongoing stewardship, leveraging CRM technology to maintain and deepen donor relationships.

What We're Looking For

A Dynamic Fundraiser: With a proven track record of securing large-scale donations and a bold, innovative approach to fundraising.

Leadership and Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal and management skills, capable of motivating teams and working collaboratively across departments.

Strategic Thinker: With a knack for strategic planning and the ability to execute plans that align with our overarching goals.

Effective Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a flair for negotiating and influencing.

Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems, with a flexible approach to working hours and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience, particularly in foundation, corporate, and campaign fundraising, with a preference for candidates with experience in human services.
