The Credentialing Manager is responsible for managing a team that partners with medical providers, hospitals, insurance companies, operations leaders and other stakeholders to ensure clinicians are credentialed. This position develops and manages credentialing standards, best practices, and tools; and oversees all aspects of hospital and financial credentialing.

Essential Duties

  • Train, develop, and assist employees in their essential duties
  • Manage employee performance using clear expectations, accountability, goals, and feedback
  • Foster open lines of communication with employees, clinicians, and stakeholders
  • Oversee quality assurance of data and credentialing practices
  • Serve as a point of escalation for questions and concerns
  • Resolve issues that arise and escalate when appropriate
  • Stay abreast of credentialing and recredentialing requirements for each client group
  • Cascade updates and beneficial information to team members and stakeholders
  • Perform functions of a credentialing specialist as needed to support volume
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and credentialing related software

Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

  • Prior credentialing experience required
  • Supervision or managerial experience preferred
  • Experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with MS Teams and credentialing software preferred
