Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary AD/Director of Translational Sciences with expertise in the field of LNP technology to lead our translational science efforts. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction and scientific leadership in the design, execution, and interpretation of in vivo studies to support the development of LNP-based therapeutics. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the direction of our research programs and contribute to the advancement of innovative drug delivery solutions.



  • Provide strategic leadership and scientific oversight for translational sciences activities within the context of LNP-based drug delivery, including experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation.
  • Lead a team of scientists and research associates to design and execute preclinical studies aimed at evaluating the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, efficacy, and safety of LNP-formulated drug candidates.
  • Develop and optimize animal models relevant to specific therapeutic indications, with a focus on assessing LNP-mediated delivery of nucleic acids.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including formulation scientists, biologists, chemists to integrate preclinical pharmacology data into project plans and decision-making processes.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in experimental methodologies, study designs, and data analysis techniques to enhance the efficiency and robustness of preclinical pharmacology studies.
  • Stay abreast of latest scientific developments, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements in the LNP field, and incorporate relevant knowledge into project planning and execution.
  • Represent the translational sciences function internally and externally, including interactions with senior management, external collaborators, and regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing scientific guidance, career development support, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines and quality standards in all aspects of preclinical pharmacology research activities.


 

  • PhD or equivalent degree in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, or related field with a minimum of 6 years of leadership experience in in vivo pharmacology within the context of LNP drug delivery.
  • Proven track record of scientific excellence and leadership in designing and executing translational sciences studies to support preclinical drug discovery and development efforts.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic relationships, biodistribution, and tissue targeting principles in the context of LNP-mediated drug delivery.
  • Experience managing and mentoring scientific teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and scientific rigor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate scientific insights into actionable project plans and decision-making strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced research environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing preclinical drug development, including GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standards, is highly desirable.
