**Travel Manager**

We are seeking an experienced and talented Travel Manager to lead our team of Travel Coordinators. In this crucial role, you will oversee all travel arrangements for our employees, ensuring seamless coordination of flights, hotels, and transportation to get our team members where they need to be.

As the Travel Manager, you will supervise a dynamic group of in-office and remote Travel Coordinators, managing their workload and ensuring excellent service delivery. Your strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail will be vital in this fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for executing and communicating our corporate travel policies, monitoring all crew travel activities, reconciling expenses, and facilitating interdepartmental communication.

This on-site position offers an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within a growing team. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will thrive in a dynamic workplace, collaborating with department managers and key stakeholders to understand and meet their travel needs effectively and within budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional managerial, time management, and organizational abilities
• Lead and supervise a team of 10-12 Travel Coordinators
• Collaborate with department managers to facilitate clear communication and coordination
• Work closely with stakeholders and department heads to understand and meet travel requirements
• Ensure travel arrangements adhere to company budgetary guidelines
• Negotiate contracts for group travel, hotels, and airlines
• Assign and coordinate travel requests for employees
• Oversee the timely and efficient fulfillment of all travel, hotel, and transportation details
• Manage Travel Coordinators' workload and ensure timely completion of booking assignments
• Follow up with new hires to ensure they receive necessary travel information and instructions
• Audit team performance and identify areas for improvement and optimization
• Facilitate training and onboarding for new Travel Coordinators
• Be available for occasional after-hours communication as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience with Sabre Travel or similar Global Distribution System (GDS)
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams
• Extensive experience arranging various travel components, including hotels, flights, and ground transportation
• Strong negotiation skills with experience in contract and vendor management
• Proficient in using online travel sites and internet-based research
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience
