Position: Part Time Customer Service Representative

Schedule: 5 hours a day, Monday to Friday, flexible hours between 10:00 am - 3:00 pm or 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm, depending on business needs.

Job Description

As a Part Time Customer Service Representative, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service across various channels including phone calls, walk-ins, email, and chat. This position is integral to supporting our phone rotation staff during periods of leave, meetings, lunches, and offline work for projects and tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Providing prompt, accurate, and courteous customer service to both internal and external customers, addressing inquiries and routing incoming calls effectively.

Actively listening to customer requests and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Researching customer information in billing software and recording customer contact in our system.

Collaborating with other Customer Services team members to ensure seamless phone and walk-in coverage during business hours.

Developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.

Performing various clerical duties to support the Customer Service Department, such as processing returned mail and managing account notations.

Responding to requests for information and assistance, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Cross-training in other duties and providing backup support as required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Of 5 Years Of Customer Service Experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality, even in stressful situations.

Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Working Environment And Physical Requirements

This role primarily involves office work, with occasional operation of a district vehicle to various work sites. Office tasks include operating standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. Physical demands may include sitting for extended periods, hand-eye coordination for repetitive motion and data entry, and occasional lifting and/or moving of items up to 50 pounds.
