Position Overview

The Diesel/CNG Maintenance Shop Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of one of the company’s maintenance facilities, which maintain our fleet of 1,000+ trucks. Responsibilities include assigning and monitoring maintenance work on Diesel/CNG trucks and heavy equipment, minimizing equipment downtime and repair costs, and ensuring safe facility operations.

Position Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor maintenance work assignments to ensure maintenance and repairs minimize downtime and expense.
• Maintain parts inventories to expedite vehicle service and reduce overhead expense.
• Ensure all maintenance policies and records are accurate and compliant with all regulations.
• Mentor and develop maintenance team members to promote professional growth.
• Maintain a safe and orderly shop environment.
• Manage administrative matters including schedules, performance management, and absence requests.
  
  

Candidate Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience managing a maintenance facility for a fleet of 100+ trucks and 20+ maintenance team members.
• Thorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations.
• Advance knowledge of Diesel/ CNG equipment drivetrain, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in managing maintenance shop budgets.
