We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team! The bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks at our marina.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: Manage and process invoices for marina supplies and services. Process payments and ensure timely collection of receivables. Handle accounts payable including vendor invoices, utility bills, and other expenses.
• Bank Reconciliation: Coordinate with accounting team to reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions. Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Record journal entries for income and expenses. Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly categorized and documented.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the accounting department.
• Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll administration including processing timesheets and distributing checks to employees.
• Compliance and Regulation: Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and assist with audits as needed.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the marina management team as needed. Assist with filing, recordkeeping, and other clerical tasks.
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Previous experience in bookkeeping or administrative experience preferred
• Previous experience marine industry experience preferred
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Dockmaster, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, or with a team, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
• Experience with payroll processing and inventory management is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
