Essential Job Functions/duties
- Prepares financial reports and accounting statements.
- Posts journal entries to the general ledger.
- Generate summary sheets for use by the supervisor or auditor
- Processes payroll and prepares payroll reports.
- Verify accounting reports for clerical accuracy.
- Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures
- Foster an environment of trust and collaboration
- Performs other ad-hoc duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
- CMA candidate preferred
- At least five (5) years of relevant work experience as an Analyst, Auditor, or Accountant
- Thorough understanding of bookkeeping procedures and practices
- Ability to train others in related practices and procedures regarding bookkeeping.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions thoroughly.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong analytics skills
