About Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa:
Adjacent to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most-visited national park in the country, Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, provides an amazing work environment with refreshing mountain breezes and spectacular views of the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. As a member of the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort team, you will meet and engage with guests who have arrived to enjoy all the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer and help them experience our world-class amenities such as the state-of-the-art Wild Bear Falls water park.

As a Lifeguard at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa’s Wild Bear Falls Water Park you will ensure the safety and supervision of all guests attending the water park and effectively respond to emergencies based on all established procedures. Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified.

As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Ensure the safety of guests by maintaining constant surveillance; scanning, and monitoring of guests for the assigned pool or water park area.
• Render emergency care and contact emergency medical services as necessary.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.
• Prepare and maintain activity reports.
• Attend scheduled in-service training and follow all established safety procedures.
• Assist team members with other duties as required.

Requirements

• American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with guests and other team members
• Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
