About The Role

Are you an experienced Loan Processor with a solid background in managing small multi-family deals and expertise in the Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae SBL program? If so, we invite you to join our vibrant team. As a Loan Processor at our company, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the loan application process, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and facilitating successful transactions for our clients. Your responsibilities will include reviewing loan documents, verifying borrower information, preparing comprehensive loan packages for approval, and maintaining clear communication with borrowers and other stakeholders throughout the loan process.

Responsibilities

Loan Processing: Manage end-to-end loan processing for single-family residences (SFR) and small multi-family deals, emphasizing efficiency and accuracy.

Documentation Review: Assess and analyze loan documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, borrowers, and internal teams to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and ensure a seamless loan application process.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with loan applications through thorough due diligence to uphold the quality of our loan portfolio.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance standards to ensure all loan processing activities adhere to legal requirements.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with underwriters, loan officers, and other stakeholders to expedite the approval and closing of loans.

Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to uphold the accuracy and completeness of loan files, minimizing errors and discrepancies.

(Preferred) Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae SBL Program Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of the Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae Small Balance Loan program, staying updated with program modifications and enhancements.

Your Experience

  • 2+ years of experience (5 years preferred) in a processor role within the commercial real estate space.
  • 2+ years of experience (5+ years preferred) with knowledge of industry regulations, guidelines, and compliance standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accuracy throughout the loan processing workflow.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling professional interactions with clients and internal teams.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Effective problem-solving skills to tackle challenges and ensure the smooth progression of loan applications.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Preference for Experience: Preference for experience transacting with multi-family or commercial property owners and managers.
  • Preference for Industry Background: Preference for individuals with experience working within small investment or lending shops, venture-backed startups, or other fast-growing companies that engage in balance sheet risk.

Compensation

Our offer will be tailored to your experience. Generally, compensation ranges between $50,000 and $75,000 in base salary, along with commission through participation in our revenue share program (which can exceed 100% of annual salary), and a competitive employee stock option plan.

Location

This position is based in Atlanta, and while our team currently operates on a hybrid in-office/remote schedule, we are open to considering remote candidates.
