Job Description

The Clinical Coordinator/Faculty, reporting to the Academic Dean, plays a pivotal role in managing the Surgical Technologist program's clinical experiences while teaching courses in various modalities to uphold and advance the vision and mission. This position requires a friendly and professional individual dedicated to fostering student success and supporting programmatic objectives.

Responsibilities

Clinical Site Planning, Implementation, and Assessment:

Coordinate and manage clinical sites for the designated Health Sciences program.

Develop and maintain affiliation agreements with clinical sites.

Facilitate quality learning experiences for students during clinical education.

Evaluate students' performance and progress within the curriculum.

Educate students and faculty about clinical education best practices.

Programmatic & Academic Support

Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating curricula.

Represent to students, professional organizations, and partners.

Participate in strategic planning and academic policy reviews.

Attend teaching development programs and maintain professional credentials.

Programmatic & Academic Student Success

Provide academic advising and counseling to students.

Support student success through timely feedback and academic resources.

Collaborate with faculty and student support personnel.

Student Outreach And Support

Establish a presence to support campus and online students.

Respond promptly to student inquiries and provide outreach as needed.

Service to University & Community: Campus Presence, Meetings, and Community Events:

Play an integral role in curriculum development.

Attend campus and faculty meetings as designated by the Dean.

Participate in community and professional events.

Professional Development And In-Service

Complete required Education Units annually.

Stay updated on teaching methodologies and disciplinary developments.

Requirements

Associate's degree in Surgical Technology required, bachelor's preferred.

ST or CST/CSFA licensure.

Minimum of three years (or equivalent) full-time experience in the field.

Teaching Experience Preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet usage.
