Tony's Muscle Cars is looking for a skilled Automotive Upholstery Technician to join our growing business in Hazleton PA! (Relocation)

• Disassembly of factory seat assemblies, clean, restore and detail the seat structures.
• Repair/weld broken or rusty seat frames and springs. 
• Install new seat covers provided from suppliers.
• Disassembly/removal of convertible tops from vehicles. 
• Repair or replace damaged or worn-out upholstery materials, including seats, carpets, headliners, and door panels.
• Match and blend fabrics, colors, and textures to ensure a seamless and aesthetically pleasing finish.
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to create customized and unique vehicle interiors.
• Install custom upholstery features such as embroidered logos, personalized stitching, and decorative elements.
• Implement enhancements to improve comfort, functionality, and overall interior aesthetics.
• Utilize precision cutting tools to cut and shape upholstery materials accurately.
• Ensure that all cuts and seams meet quality standards and enhance the overall appearance of the vehicle interior.
• Recommend and source high-quality upholstery materials, taking into consideration durability, comfort, and visual appeal.
• Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Address any defects or issues promptly and efficiently.
• Strive for excellence in every aspect of the upholstery process, maintaining a commitment to delivering top-notch craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with other automotive technicians and professionals to ensure seamless integration of upholstery work with other vehicle components.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.

Qualifications

• 5 years of proven experience as an Auto Upholstery Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in upholstery techniques, including cutting, sewing, and installation.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Knowledge of a wide range of upholstery materials and their applications.
• Ability to interpret design specifications and work closely with clients.
• Use of a steamer, staple gun and any other tools needed to do the job requirements above.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Welding experience a plus
• Wood working and cardboard template design and creation for custom trunk compartments and custom interior fabrication
• Successful completion of automotive upholstery or other training program.
• Attention to detail with excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to comply with all company policies and uphold standards for service quality.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and a
