Today, Replacement Parts, Inc. and Crow Burlingame is made up of a corporate staff and several different companies, including Parts Warehouse Inc. (PWI). We employ around 1,400 employees, in twelve (12) states, working at approximately 220 locations, all operating in the aftermarket automotive parts, paint and heavy duty parts business. In 2019, our company celebrated 100 years of serving our communities as a privately held business with most of our employees spending the majority of their working lives as part of the "Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts" family.

The Regional Manager is responsible for directing the activities of 5-7 local area District Managers and ensuring that store goals are in line with the company’s goals. Responsible for attainment of Regional Sales and Profit goals flowing from subordinate store goals and objectives. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals in training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers. Locations include the North Central Arkansas area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee profitability and market expansion within assigned region
  • Travel between store locations in area market. Area markets are contiguous towns/markets covering multiple adjoining states.
  • Oversee regional and local sales managers and their staffs.
  • Assess marketing potential of new and existing store locations, considering statistics and expenditures.
  • Confer with potential customers regarding equipment needs and advise customers on types of equipment to purchase.
  • Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales.
  • Assign store managers to specific duties while encouraging safety, health, and security practices.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate personnel in stores, promoting or firing workers when appropriate.
  • Advise district managers on new policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
  • Perform work activities of subordinates, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandise.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages 5-7 subordinate District Managers who supervise a total of 10-13 stores each with their own local Store Managers. The Regional Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation and performance of these units including specific sales and profit objectives. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education And/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 8 years of auto parts experience, 8 years of management experience, multi-site management experience is required; BA/BS or better is a preference but not required. Reliable personal transportation is required due to extensive travel required. ASE certifications are preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge including familiarity with web browsing and the Microsoft Office suite of products specifically including Outlook, and mid to advanced level Excel skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ASE certifications preferred
