Position Overview

We are looking for an entry-level Environmental Consultant to join our team in the Pacific Northwest. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual with a diverse skill set to contribute to our Seattle-based environmental consulting team. The role involves primarily fieldwork and offers the chance to learn and implement environmental regulatory programs specific to Washington state.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct various environmental site assessment tasks
  • Perform technical remedial investigation sampling techniques
  • Work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and sometimes in remote field locations
  • Coordinate with vendors, analytical laboratories, and subcontractors
  • Assess environmental cleanup approaches, collect and manage site data
  • Perform due diligence tasks in assessing environmental liabilities
  • Evaluate environmental impact for a range of clientele
  • Recommend remedial solutions to meet regulatory requirements and client objectives
  • Prepare technical reports including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Remedial Investigation reports/Feasibility Studies, and Cleanup Action plans and reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in geology, engineering, environmental science, or related field
  • 0 to 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with soil, groundwater, soil gas, indoor air, surface water, and sediment sampling techniques preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with GIS software is advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as required
  • Professional licenses and OSHA training certificate are desirable
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed

Physical And Mental Job Qualifications

  • Ability to travel as required depending on project assignments
  • Capability to work outside and engage in physical activities including light lifting, equipment handling, and working in varying weather conditions
