In this position...

Manage logistics throughput of a portfolio of Over The Road (OTR), Rail, and other various supply chain partners at finished vehicle distribution facilities across North America. Take ownership in driving Cost, Quality, and Speed KPI's, while identifying and implementing efficiency projects. Position will need to interface with various other internal and external customers, including Plants, Sales and Marketing, Ford Pro, Model E, Finance and Vehilce Ops (VO) Quality.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

Meet and exceed NAVL Operations objectives by facilitating and influencing improvement in the following areas:

  • Lead day to day oversight of vehicle movement at US and Canada Origin Plants to ensure vehicles are shipping to plan.
  • Work with carriers and 3rd party logistics providers to maintain on time performance targets for Finished Vehicles deliveries.
  • Work with the plants to resolve daily operational & logistical issues that affect deliveries and logistics performance.
  • Reduce premium freight spend to ensure budget is achieved.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory flow and vehicle aging issues.
  • Finished Vehicle Carrier performance management
  • Origin Service performance management
  • Railroad performance management
  • Identify and investigate operational issues impacting the handling of vehicles in the network
  • Develop tracking metrics and tools to improve and monitor key KPI's
  • Drive improvements in the Transportation Network to reduce Time In Transit with the use of data from Freight Verify
  • Lead the UPS field team efforts, actions, and projects to reduce inventory dwell
  • Support Plant New Vehicle launches including vehicle mobility
  • Support Customer request (Ford Pro, Lincoln, Model E, Ford Blue)


Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor degree
  • 1+ years of Supply Chain or Operations Management work experience


Even better, you may have...

  • Bachelor degree in: Supply Chain or Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or other applicable degrees
  • 1+ years Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and oral communication skills: you will be speaking or presenting to Senior Ford Leadership, regularly
  • Ability to positively influence change
  • Ability to handle complexity and multi-tasking
  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups to resolve concerns
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Ability to make decisions and work independently
  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups (internal / external to the company)
  • Proficiency in Alteryx and other big data mining tools
  • Ability to travel when required
